安藤次朗（アートディレクター）による結界のページ。 屋外にある、主に猫避けのために用いられているペットボトルの写真を扱うお店です。現在、写真集、クリアファイル、Tシャツ、ポストカードを取り扱っています。 ---------- 出展「Tokyo Art Book Fair 2016（東京）」（2016） 個展「ケッコウなケッカイ（東京）」（2017） 出展「Taipei Art Book Fair 2017（台湾・台北）」（2017） 個展「ケッコウなケッカイ（大阪）」（2018） 展示「結界（イタリア・フィレンツェ）」（2019） 出展「Tokyo Art Book Fair 2019（東京）」（2019） 個展「ケッコウなケッカイ（東京）」（2022） ---------- 「結界」は、屋外にある主に猫よけに用いられているペットボトルのこと、及びそれらを撮影した写真集のタイトルです。 日本には、野良猫が自分の家や庭に入ってくることを避けるために、水を入れたペットボトルを置いておく風習があります。いま現在、ペットボトルを置くことの効果は認められていません。それでも人はペットボトルを置き続け、今まで置いてあったものを片付けることもしません。屋外に置かれているペットボトルを見て、「結界」と名付けました。そして撮影を始めました。 2010年から撮影を始めた「結界」。その写真集は、水に溶ける特殊な紙を用いてダメージ加工を施し、公園や土手に捨てられたアダルトな雑誌のイメージを表現しています。それにより、モチーフとなった風雨にさらされているペットボトル達のイメージと関連付けています。 すべて手作業で、1ページ毎に溶かして乾かしダメージ加工をしているので、1冊毎に仕上がりが異なります。綴じ方もこの写真集のために考案したもので、水のみで綴じています。ポスターも同様に水に溶ける紙に印刷して一枚毎に加工してあります。そのため、写真集もポスターもすべてこの世に一つのものとなっています。 「結界」には 1：あらゆる配置のパターンがあり、ある程度の規則性もある。 2：ペットボトルを置くことの効果は真剣に吟味されていないように思える。 3：（少々短絡的ではあるものの）人間の決意行動を感じられる。 4：公共の場に置かれてもゴミとして認識されていない。 5：パラノイア的な狂気、ちょっとした恐怖を感じるものの、結果的に意味のないことをやっているという「寂しさ・悲しさ・虚しさ」があり、最終的に受ける印象には何か可笑しさがある。 6：置いた人の気持ち、猫の気持ち、ペットボトルの気持ちを想像できる。 7：人は写っていないが人のいる気配を感じる。 などなど、なかなか味わい深いものがあります。 そして少し大げさに言えば、匿名の作家たちによるパブリックアートだと考えます。 Kekkai ("The Barriers") is artist Jiro Ando's term for the lines of plastic bottles put out to stop cats from excreting in residential areas. It is also the title of his first book of photography. In Japan some people believe in a myth that they can barricade their home against cats by putting lines of plastic bottles filled with water. However, there is as yet no evidence that bottles are actually effective against cats or other destructive animals. Even though it may be pointless, people keep putting these bottles in front of their house or garden, and never tidy them away. Ando said, "When I saw these bottles, I reckoned that they are not only plastic bottles - they are barriers, to protect houses, to keep evil at bay. That is how my interest in taking photographs of the barriers began." Since he started to photograph "Kekkai" in 2010, he has taken hundreds of photographs, resulting in this photo book. "I used special papers which are able to dissolve in water, and artificially damaged them to represent decadence, like abandoned porn mags discarded by the riverside. This also represents those miserably abandoned plastic bottles." The photo books are all different as each one is created manually by the artist. The binding used is his invention, having no staples and only using water. Posters are created by the same process. This is what is unique in his creation. What he defines as Kekkai are below: 1. The lines have a kind of pattern. 2. They do not seem to have been seriously considered for their effectiveness. 3. Although they seem to be thoughtless, they can be felt as very deliberate. 4. They do not seem to be recognised as rubbish, despite being left out. 5. Although they're kind of scary and mad, they have a sort of loneliness, sadness, emptiness, and we can even feel some sort of fun at the end. 6. I can imagine the feeling of the person who installs the bottles, the feeling of the cats who are repelled and the plastic bottle's feeling for those who are kept away from it. 7. Although there's no one in there, I can feel someone's spirits in them ...etc In conclusion, at risk of overstating, I consider that they are all public art by anonymous artists.
